Here is one of the main characters for the vampire story that I'm working on~! Kerry Mercer~!

Bio:

Name: Kerry Mercer

Gender: Male

Age: 25-30 (haven't narrowed down the exact present date for the setting yet)

Date of Birth: May 19, 1985

Date of Changing: October 4, 1988

Sexuality: Gay

Race: Night Walker Revenant (If you want to know about the different races, please say so in the comments and I will send you the explainations of how they all work)

Occupation: Works at Pup Pub Bar as a bartender.

Appearance: Chin length black hair, green eyes, numerous scars (burns and deep gashes mainly) littering his body from before his changing, one scar on his right cheek. About 5'9". Slightly muscular, swimmer's body. Prefers dark clothing. Always has a trench coat on when he goes out.

Personality: Reclusive but loving to the few that he allows close. Very protective and paranoid of the world around him. Constantly looking over his shoulder. However, he is normally laid back and happy to those that he knows.

Backstory: Since he is a revenant, he was once human. As a human toddler, Kerry was abused by a mother who seemed to lack the maternal instinct. One day, she left him in their car to go hang out inside her friend's house. Whether intentional or not, the woman had left the car in drive on top of a hill. Before Kerry could react to get out of the vehicle, it had already started its unstoppable track down the hill. Crashing into a building, what was left of the car exploded into flames. Severely wounded and being cooked alive, Kerry had truly thought that that was the end of his horrible life, and in a way, he was correct. Just as he was about to allow himself to slip into the welcoming darkness, somebody's hand was reaching through the mangled metal, desperately trying to reach him. He weakly grabbed onto his savior's hand, numb to the pain that filled his body as she pulled him from what could have been his funeral pyre.

His savior was a vampire Day Walker Day Seeker woman. She had golden hair that flowed down to the small of her back and deep chocolate eyes. Hurrying, the woman carried him away from the scene. When she thought that they were alone, she stared at the dying boy. Her heart ached as she watched the light start to slowly leave his eyes. No longer worried about herself or the price she would pay if she did indeed succeed, she desperately tried to change the boy before he slipped away. Thankfully, her attempts were not in vain. As the wounds on his body slowly began to heal, the woman took her new son hom.

Kerry's life after that was as perfect as a Revenant's could be. His savior became the mother he had always wished he had had. They lived together as mother and son until Kerry was sixteen. That's when his life changed once more. He had come home to find his mother arguing with her best human friend about something. Not knowing what it was about, he carefully snuck into the kitchen to find a snack. That's when he heard the two start fighting. Rushing out, his heart sank as he watched his mother being stabbed through the heart with her family heirloom dagger that had once hung in its shealth by the t.v.. As her body crashed to the ground, Kerry screamed for her before rushing to her side. Leaning over her, not knowing what to do, he felt her weakly lift her hand to gently caress his right, scarred cheek.

"B-be a g-good son and don't c-cry for me," she whispered, a weak, heart aching smile on her pale lips, "St-Stay safe and st-strong, K-Kerry...I-I love you..."

Kerry held the hand as the last bit of life left his mother's body. In disbelief, he shook her a few times, thinking that it was all some kind of dream. When he finally realized that she was truly gone, he let out a heart wrenching cry before collapsing on top of her. Tears freely ran down his face as he clung to what was once his savior and guardian. He paid no attention to the fact that blood was soaking his clothes. It didn't matter at that point of time, and probably never would.

Suddenly, Kerry was kicked hard in the stomach, sending him flying back away from his mother. Looking up from where he now laid instead, he watched as his mother's friend pulled the dagger from her body before slowly advancing towards him. Still crying, he demanded to know why she killed his mother and her friend. The woman just looked at him with a fear crazed look in her eyes before simply saying that they were the spawn of the devil so why shouldn't she kill them. Kerry's eyes widened. The argument from before had been about his mother confessing that she and Kerry were vampires! Growling in anger, Kerry tried to get to his feet before he was trapped. Little good it did him. The second that he stood, the woman was in front of him holding up the dagger menancingly. Kerry lunged to his left, towards the door out of his home when the dagger come down upon his now exposed back.

Screaming in pain, Kerry somehow managed to stay on his feet and ran to the door. Flinging it open, and almost off the hinges, the Revenant raced through the streets, desperate to get away. People all stared at him as he cried for help. Hearing the crazed woman chasing after him, Kerry tried to force his legs move even quicker, despite constantly losing blood. Just when he thought he was about to be caught, he spotted a man holding a door open for some woman. Praying that the man would understand his situation, Kerry made a mad dash for the door. Just as the woman passed through the door way, Kerry flew into the building, looking around desperately for a place to hide. Noticing that it was a bar with a large bouncer type guy, Kerry jumped on one of the bar stools and hopped over the bar to hide below site.

The bouncer, despite being shocked to see a boy so covered in blood, acted quickly. Before the crazed woman could make it inside, he had already locked and barricaded the door. Meanwhile, the bartender and the few patrons there took to looking over the boy. Kerry whimpered as more and more tears slid down his face. He didn't hear the bartender talking to him. He didn't hear one of the patrons claim to be a doctor. He barely even felt them ripping off his shirt, didn't hear them gasp upon seeing all of the scars that littered his body, and almost didn't feel them slowly pull the dagger from his skin. Apparently, the blade hadn't been that deep so while he had bleed a lot, he wasn't in any immediate danger.

Finally looking around, Kerry suddenly felt alone. The bar reminded him too much of the bar and grill that his mother would take him to on special occasions. They served the best chilled blood there, at least to Kerry. The mere thought of the life giving drink made his fangs ache. With losing so much of his own blood, his body suddenly found itself craving for something to make up the lost energy.

Apparantly, there had been a vampire among those that were helping him for just when Kerry was about to get up to go in search for something drink, a tall glass of suspiciously red looking liquid was placed in front of him.

"It's tomato juice," the bartender smiled, winking at the boy, "It's good for the heart."

Just nodding, Kerry warily took the glass. Sniffing at the contents, his face lit up as the faint bloody metallic smell, hidden behind a fake tomato one, filled his nose. Slowly, he sipped at the liquid, heart lifting when he found it truly was the nourishment that he needed. Without another thought, he quickly downed the tall glass before turning to the bartender to ask for more. He didn't need to though. The bartender already had another glass ready for him. Kerry found out after that that the bar they were currently at was one of the main vampire hang outs. Of course, humans loved it as well, but more often than not, the patrons that came in were vampires.

After hours of talking about what had happened to him to the bartender and vampire patrons, Kerry turned to the bartender and begged him for a job. When asked what for, Kerry simply said that he had no home and no money to get by. That he was a Revenant vampire without the support of another. The bartender was slight for a moment before he sighed, saying that if that cops ever came in, he better be good at hiding.

He worked at that bar until he finished highschool when he set out for college. There he found a bar that, while not its main inflow of customers, still served vampires regularly. It was also at this bar that he found the love of his life, a male human with dirty blonde hair and dark blue eyes named Chad Chesterville.
